Korean Tiger Folding Screen - Paint by Numbers Kit

Five lacquered panels unfold across a shadowed hall, each one alive with bold minhwa tigers, coral peonies, and deep cobalt blooms rendered in the flat, graphic masses of traditional Korean folk art. A mother tiger and her cub rest beneath a twisting pine on one panel while a solitary tiger sits watchful under a flowering branch and a small black-and-white bird on another, and a cascading waterfall closes the scene in cool jade green.

The warm glow of a paper lantern spills across the polished sienna floorboards in the foreground, pulling one corner of the screen into candlelight while the rest fades into soft evening shadow. That contrast of amber light and cool dusk is what gives this piece its quiet, folk-tale mood, and it translates beautifully into the graduated color blending of a pre-printed numbered canvas, where each petal, stripe, and floorboard plank becomes its own satisfying region to fill.

Fans of Korean art, tiger imagery, and richly patterned folk painting will find plenty to enjoy here, and the large, clearly defined shapes make it approachable even for those picking up a brush for the first time. Paired with a matched set of premium acrylic paints and a numbered reference sheet, this kit is an easy way to bring a piece of folk art tradition into your own home. Add it to your canvas and let those tiger eyes glow under lantern light.
