Hawthorne Bridge Paddle - Paint by Numbers Kit

A lone kayaker glides across the flat teal water of the Willamette River, her violet life vest and red kayak the only warm notes against the cool steel of the Hawthorne Bridge looming overhead. The pale, overcast sky presses thin above the bridge's green trusses, while one broad silver highlight cuts across the river's surface, catching the muted afternoon light.

This Portland scene captures that quiet moment of solitude on the water, the paddler dwarfed by the industrial geometry of the bridge yet completely at ease in her rhythm. The distant skyline and rows of green trees along the riverbank ground the piece in a real city, giving painters a sense of place as they work through each numbered section.

Rendered in bold, graduated shapes that are easy to follow, the design comes to life on a pre-printed numbered canvas, making it approachable for first-time painters while still satisfying enough for anyone who loves rivers, bridges, and city waterways. The limited palette of teals, greens, and violet keeps the process relaxing rather than overwhelming.

Whether you're picking this up for yourself or wrapping it for someone who loves Portland or paddling, it's a calm, rewarding project from first stroke to last. Grab your brush and let the Willamette carry you into a peaceful afternoon on the water.
